    LORI RINCK

    FOUNDER

    (Good Idea Fairy)

Lori is a mother of 2, a homeschool hippie that spends her days learning alongside her daughters at home. She will find any way that she can to be outside, biking, hiking, jogging or nordic skiing. Lori served 12 years on active duty in the Army. She began as an E-1 Air Traffic Controller and finshed as an H-60 (Blackhawk) Pilot. She served in OIF 05-06 and OEF 08-09 Kingsmen Opera Non Verba , Air Assault!

  • BETH CORBIN

    Montana Chapter Director

Beth, so much to brag about with our Beth! We met her during our walk with with wives of the Vietnam Vets last year. She out walked all of us and still does. 50 years celebrated marriage, grandmother to 4. Either on a plane helping with grandkids or down the road doing the same. She’s born and raised in Montana, retired from the insurance agent world and a volunteer extraordinaire. We are forever grateful that she took on this role as director of events!

  • MALENA MAGPIE

    Director Of Mindfulness

Malena grew up on a ranch in SE Montana and walked on to the CSU Womens basketball team. After college she served 4 years active duty in the U.S Navy. She was stationed in San Diego and served on a DDG Destroyer working with ballistic missile defense teams off the coast of Iraq and Yemen.

She says she can land a helicopter better than Lori.

Life after the military for Malena meant coming home to Montana and marrying her high school sweetheart. They are now raising two amazing boys together in the Gallatin Valley.

  • KRISTIN CLEVELAND

Director of Logic ( I meant logistics)

Kristin is from Belgrade, Montana and is a mother of 4, you read that right, four wonderful children.

She served 7 years in the Air Force as a logistics officer and holds a BS in Microbiology. After her time serving as active military/military spouse she returned to her home state of Montana to enjoy the outdoors with her family.

Kristin served two tours in OEF (Afghanistan) attached to the Army. As a veteran and a spouse she’s seen both perspectives.

We are so happy to have Kristin logisitisizing for us!

(We are also fully aware that is not a word).

  • BRIAN RINCK

    DIRECTOR OF THE PURSUIT

    Bike Packer/Bread Maker (literally)

Brian flys for Travis County Star Flight of Austin, Texas and fathers 2 girls, pretty dang well.

He’s an endurance cyclist and a damn good cook!

If you see this born adventurer send his wife a 6 digit grid please…supper is ready

Brian started his career as a Russian Linguist and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer H-60 Blackhawk Pilot. Clearly he’s unintelligent.

He served in Iraq 06-07 and again OIF 09-10 as a medieval instructor pilot

  • Man On A Mission

    KRIS SEARLES

    Man On A Mission

Kris is a husband and father of two. He served in the Army as a sniper and then worked on Search and Rescue teams in Wyoming. He is currently using his experiences from OIF to change lives with Overwatch6, a non profit in Pinedale, WY he created.

Overwatch6 and Alongside have partnered up to sharpen one another’s swords.

We choose to help more people together. When you are doing what is right, why not do it together!

Alongside Women Veterans Outreach

What happens after a “good idea” is truly dependent upon the people placed in your path.

Some of them are civilians that don’t even have family in the military (Digiovannis, this is you), others are First Responders and Veterans I served with myself, and of course my husband has supported many of my crazy notions, Alongside perhaps being the biggest.

But only one year after the actualization of being a federal non profit I was blessed to meet two female veterans who served in combat in Afghanistan and Yemen. Chance encounters that I believe were destiny.

All 3 of us share similar experiences with trauma. All 3 of us are mothers and wives.

The heightened awareness that once kept us safe in combat no longer served us at home—and when we realized we weren’t alone in those struggles we poured our focus into a daily “better” not just for us but for others.

Alongside WVO grew from a good idea into a promise!

Our projects offer adrenaline filled events like hiking, biking, archery, fencing and fly-fishing. In deep contrast we do meditation, yoga and attend healing clinics as a tribe as well. These experiences are designed to foster connection, rebuild confidence and provide a healthy outlet for mending, restoration and reflection.

Each gathering creates a supportive community for female veterans, female first responders and in 2025 we extended our outreach to female spouses of those in these demanding professions.

Our mission is to host five events each year.  We partner with other likeminded non profits and local businesses to keep our projects at approximately $600. Each facilitating connection for 6-8 new women and return volunteers that attended past projects. We are small on purpose because we believe in the exponentially greater impact one event can have on an entire community. We’ve seen it.

As a matter of fact, this is how we found our Director Beth Corbin! Beth took us for a walk when we thought we were taking her for one. She showed us what wisdom looks like when you’ve been the wife of a Vietman Veteran for 50+ years, a Mother, a Grandmother and a retired corporate professional. She has guided our non profit into another year of security in fundraising alongside Kristin and Malena!

The women of Alongside WVO mentioned in this narrative do not receive any remunerations whatsoever. No one at Alongside does.

Each and every minute they have devoted has been volunteered. We as a team physically, financially and spiritually come together time and time again to make this world better for others and we would love for you to join us…..

Attend an event…..come volunteer…..we are your community
